We are looking for a PROFESSIONAL SERVICES PROJECT MANAGER - contractor to join our Professional Services team - remote location.

Can be located in any city with a major airport in Central or West regions.

  • What You'll Do

  • Own and manage small to medium sized projects to ensure that they stay on-course, schedule is followed, and budget is met.
  • Operate within budget for all project and ensure all parties involved are adhering to financial limits or have clear communication and documentation of any budgetary impacting change efforts
  • Start up, run and manage multiple software projects through to successful delivery and project close
  • Plan effectively to deliver tasks to time and budget
  • Provide reporting to the business of the status of each project
  • Manage and maintain standard project documentation to enable accurate and up to date reporting and timely visibility of risk or escalation
  • Ensure accurate time recording is completed by resources allocated to projects to enable accurate billing and reporting
  • Provide a high level of customer service and relationship management, through adoption of the Cherwell values
  • Attends or conducts weekly project status meetings
  • Updates schedules / forecasts; manages costs
  • Problem-solving may be necessary when projects are not going as planned, be strategic and holistic in approach to satisfying a customer and meeting the company’s business objectives.
  • Work in a fast paced and frequently changing industry and keep up with responsibilities
  • Typically work in remote office, but may occasionally visit customer sites
  • This is not a Senior level position
  • What You Should Have

  • 3+ years experience in full-cycle software project management
  • 2 years of project budget / finance / analysis
  • 2+ years as a project manager / coordinator in CRM software
  • 1+ years in Waterfall environment
  • Expertise in handling all aspects of small to medium software projects
  • Must be able to manage to cost, schedule and performance
  • Knowledge of best practices in project management; PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) or PRINCE2
  • Able to manage high volume in a fast-paced, dynamic technical environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a variety of audiences from technical to senior managers
  • Stellar organizational and time management skills
  • Top notch Microsoft Office skills
  • Willing and able to travel up to 20% to customer sites
  • Nice to Have

  • Cherwell or other ITSM product knowledge
  • Agile / Scrum certification and / or experience
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification
  • 2+ years experience in software implementations
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes
  • Bachelor's degree
