Purpose : Positions holders design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing an engineering-based project including : Preparing designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and / or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc.

Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan; taking action to resolve operational problems and minimise delays.

  • Identifying, developing, and gathering the resources necessary to complete the project. Working within project schedules, budgets and forecasts;
  • and selects equipment and external contractors to meet requirements. Accountability Level : Specialist / senior professional in a job area with extensive relevant, job based experience.

    Focuses on policy and business plan implementation for short-term results (1 year or less). May set goals and objectives for team members for the achievement of operational / Job Family Group results.

    Manages projects and processes that are moderately complex with little oversight Key Responsibilities : Develop project engineering solutions from concept through design, engineering and BoM creation.

    Implement and document agreed modifications. Support Project Delivery teams during the preliminary, installation and commissioning phases of the project life cycle.

    Define, develop and implement control systems that enhance the functional and operational efficiency of equipment and project sites.

    Compile engineering design reports and electrical and mechanical systems schematic drawings using CAD. Support all project design change activities.

    Design and specification of specialist’ electrical equipment in conjunction with the Product team. Lead the technical elements of a FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) / SAT (Site Acceptance Test).

    Adherence to the relevant quality, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements and standards. Typical Experience : University Degree
